Registration for Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan’s Workshop April 23 – 25, 2023 (In person and online via Zoom)

Sruti is pleased to announce a three day in-person and online (via Zoom) music workshop by “Sangeetha Kalanidhi” Guru Neyveli Santhanagopalan. This is a great opportunity to learn directly from an accomplished and erudite scholar of Carnatic music and a revered teacher and mentor.

Guidelines

The schedule of the workshop is as follows:

Sunday, April 23, 2023 ,10 am – 12:30 pm EST

Monday, April 24 and Tuesday, April 25, 2023 ,6:15 pm – 8:15 pm EST

Venue : Lower Providence Baptist Church. 3430 Ridge Pike, Collegeville PA 19426

and Online : via Zoom

The workshop is open to children, adults and teachers. Priority will be given to Sruti sponsors and members before opening up to non-members.
In addition to 4-5 distinct krithis, the workshop will also focus on early aspects of Manodharma (Ragam and Swaram singing)
Notations and recordings will be made available.
Participants should have a good understanding and grip on Raga and Laya, with knowledge of few varnams and keerthanams.
The cost is $100 per participant payable to Sruti.
Light lunch on Sunday and light dinner on Monday & Tuesday will be provided to workshop participants (to go)
The number of participants will be capped at 20 and registrations will close when we reach this limit.
Note : In person workshop will provide the best experience. Online participants may get limited opportunity to sing during the live session.
