About The Artists

Srikrishna Mohan and Ramkumar Mohan (Vocal) are young Carnatic Vocalists, popularly known as Trichur Brothers. They are sons of Senior Mridanga Vidwan Shri Trichur R Mohan and belong to the 'Sitaram Group', a traditional business family based in Trichur, Kerala. They were titled 'Trichur Brothers' by none other than His Holiness, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal of Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Matam and ever since, the brothers have been performing under this banner. They have been extremely fortunate and blessed to perform in the divine presence of the Kanchi Acharyas, Bhagvan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, His Holiness Shri Mysore Ganapathi Sachidananda Swamiji, Parama Poojya Sri Sivan Sir, Parama Poojya Shri Govinda Damodara Swamigal of Triplicane, and Parama Poojya Shri Dayanand Saraswathi Swamigal.

Rajeev Mukundan started to learn violin from a very early age from Sri Govindarajan. He has been learning from noted violin vidushi, Kalaimamani A. Kanyakumari for the last ten years. He has received scholarship from the Government of India from 2001-2009 and is an 'A' graded Artist of All India Radio (AIR), Chennai. He has received several awards from renowned sabhas like 'Sri Krishna Gana Sabha','The Music Academy, Madras', and 'Parthasarathy Swami Sabha, Madras. He has given many violin duet concerts with his Guru A.Kanyakumari, and also has toured and accompanied leading artistes like Sri. T.V. Sankaranarayanan, Dr. N. Ramani, Sri. T. M. Krishna, Smt. Ranjani- Gayathri, Sri. Sanjay Subrahmanyam, Smt. Bombay Jayshree, Smt. Nithyashri Mahadevan, Smt. Aruna Sairam, Malladi Brothers, Sri. Vijay Siva and Prince Rama Varma.

Trichur R Mohan started performing at the tender age of 14, by accompanying none other than the legend Shri Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar. Mohan had his initial training under Shri Koduvayur Radhakrishnan and subsequently his advanced training was under Mridangam Maestro Shri Palakkad Mani Iyer, Shri Umayalpuram SivaRaman and Guru Karaikkudi R Mani. He has accompanied almost all the stalwarts in Carnatic Music and also a few Western musicians and has performed extensively across the globe.
