About Sumanth Swaminathan:
VR Dr. Sumanth Swaminathan started training in vocal Carnatic Music at the age of 8 from Sri T.N. Bala in the Philadelphia area. At the age of 14, he was initiated into Carnatic music on the saxophone during a visit by Padmashri Dr. Kadri Gopalnath. Sumanth subsequently trained under the renowned saxophone master during his summer visits to India, while continuing to study under Sri T.N. Bala. Sumanth has performed with Dr. Gopalnath in concerts and festivals across the world. Notable occasions include the Silver Jubilee celebrations of CMANA in 2002, and the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia in 2003. For the past three years, Sumanth has been a highly sought after solo artist for Kutcheris, wedding concerts, and dance productions across the United States. Sumanth has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a Ph.D in applied mathematics. He is a research scientist and a carnatic saxophone teacher in the greater Chicago and Milwaukee areas.
About L. Ramakrishnan:
LR L. Ramakrishnan hails from a musical family and was formally initiated into a musical odyssey by his mother at the age of 2. He was trained in vocal music for a period of 8 years. He commenced his schooling in Carnatic Violin at the age of ten under the able guidance of Smt. Visalam Vageeswar at the Shanmukhananda Vidyalaya, Mumbai. Ramakrishnan performed his first solo concert at the age of 12 at Shanmukhananda, Mumbai. He came under the wings of the distinguished violin maestro Kum.A.Kanyakumari at the age of 13. It was during this phase that he learnt the importance of vocal orientation in instrument playing and the proper enunciation of Sahitya. He imbibed the art of accompaniment at an early age from the revered Guru. He has performed with her in her grand musical ensembles on numerous occasions. He has also strengthened his repertoire by learning from Shri. T.K. Govinda Rao and Smt. T.R. Balamani. Ramakrishnan has accompanied many senior and upcoming artists: T. K. Govinda Rao, A. Kanyakumari, Nedunuri Krishnamurthy, M. Balamuralikrisha, Abhishek Raghuram, to name a few. Among the many honors and awards conferred on him are Naada Bhooshanam – Nadopasana (Mumbai), Shanmukha Mani – Shanmukhananda (Mumbai), Best Violinist in sub-senior slot – Music Season (Music Academy). Ramakrishnan has performed all over India and continues the trend of being a sought after violinist across the United States. He currently works as the senior tech lead at Aetna in Connecticut.
About Vijay Ganesh:
VG Vijay Ganesh has studied mridangam since the age of 6. He had his tutelage under the great and illustrious master: Sri. Kumbakonam Rajappa Iyer. He has accompanied many leading artists in USA, Canada and India including Dr.Omana Kutty, Jayanthi Kumaresh, Mala Chandrasekhar, Sri Malladi Suri Babu, Gayatri Venkatraghavan, Smt Vijayalakshmi Subramanian, Sri TK Govinda Rao, and Sri Maharajapuram Ramachandran.
Among his many honors and awards are the best mridangist awards from the Chennai Music Academy (1999) and Sri Krishna Gana Sabha (1998) and the Government of India Cultural Scholarship for mridangam. He is a graded A.I.R (All India Radio, Chennai) artist. Vijay has accompanied Sumanth in several concerts during the last three years. He currently works as a business analyst in Virginia while teaching mridangam and performing for artists around the country.

About Kalaimamani A. Kanyakumari:
kk Kumari A. Kanyakumari is a senior violinist with over 45 years in the field as a solo violinist and an accompanist. She is grateful to her teachers Sri. Ivaturi. Vijayeswara Rao, Violin Mastero. Sri. M. ChandraSekaran and Dr. M.L.Vasanthakumari for the knowledge she has gained. Kanyakumari is an innovator and is one of the most prolific violin gurus. She has many students who are successful professional violinists and rising stars. She has performed around the world, is an ‘A-Top’ artist of All India Radio and has been awarded many titles.

About Patri Satish Kumar:
sk Patri Satish Kumar played his first concert when he was seven, and today is considered one of the most talented Mridangists. His performance is steeped in tradition and classism. He is a disciple of Sree Ramachandramurthy, V.A.Swami and V.Narasimhan. Satish Kumar is one of the youngest ‘A-Top’ artists of All India Radio and has been awarded many titles. He has toured around the world and has performed at many prestigious venues and Jazz festivals.
